Information concerning trash & recycling in Dunewood

Dunewood is partially in the City of Bridgman and partially in Lake Township, so the trash and recycling collection information/dates are different.  Please refer to the following information. 


For all Dunewood residents 

1. Pick up is done by the disposal truck’s automatic arm.  Drivers do not leave the truck cab. 

2. Blue trash and recycling containers must be visibly placed by the roadside by 6:00AM (eastern time) on the pickup day. 

3. Trash will not be picked up if the blue container is not accessible and visible to the driver. 

4. Items left outside of blue/yellow containers will normally NOT be picked up. 


For Dunewood residents who live in the City of Bridgman 

Trash Pickup: 

1. Every Monday.  If a holiday falls on a Monday, then pickup will be on Tuesday. 

Recycling Pickup: 

1. Twice a month on Mondays. 

2. Detailed recycling schedule can be found on the City of Bridgman website. Dunewood recycling is the blue colored routing schedule.

For Dunewood residents who live in Lake Charter Township 

Trash pickup: 

1. Every Monday.  If a holiday falls on a Monday, then pickup will be on Tuesday.

1. Twice a month on Wednesdays.

FYI additional recycling information by various agencies 

A. Berrien County Recycling Events 

Each summer Berrien County offers monthly recycling events at various locations in the county. All Berrien County residents may bring items to designated locations for disposal.  The schedule, locations and items accepted will be posted on the Berrien County website (log on; then go to: recycling event).   

B. Lake Charter Township large item & tire disposal vouchers 

Several time a year lake Township offers free vouchers for resident to take large items to Reliable Disposal. See: Lake Charter Township website’ OR call their office for further information. 

C. City of Bridgman recycling 

See: City of Bridgman website for: yard waste, brush clippings, large items pickups.  Note: This service is for City of Bridgman residents only. 

D.  Hazardous Waste Disposal

E. Green Earth Electronic Recycling
